Rockcorry • Introduction Rockcorry a village of handsome stone buildings, was built as a linen town by the Corr family. The ruin of the old linen mill can be seen on the outskirts of the village. John Cregg, inventor of the shorthand system which bears his name, was born here in 1867. Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre Tanagh Outdoor Recreation Centre sits at the heart of the Dromore water system adjoining Dartrey forest. Advance booking is necessary. There are some pleasant walks in nearby Dartrey Forest
Tanagh OEC specialises in training education, recreation and enjoyment in the outdoors. Activities include banana boating, canoeing, kayaking, climbing wall, aerial slide, team tasks, assault course, archery, night hiking and orienteering.
