Gone But Not Forgotten
08/05/2008
Large numbers of motorcyclists will flock to the small chapel in Aughdrumsee, Roslea. Co. Fermanagh on Friday night for the 7th annual memorial mass for deceased bikers and their pillion passengers. Bikers are a close community and since its inception in 2002 they have come in ever increasing numbers to remember and celebrate the memory of their fallen friends and family.
With today's busy lifestyle it is important to all of us to take that time to reflect on those who have gone and their legacy. It is equally important, however, to keep the memory of our loved ones alive.
One way of achieving this is including them in this Mass, which will be followed by a short bike run to a local venue for refreshments.
Finally the co-ordinators of this event, being the only of it's kind in Ireland, wish to invite everyone, not just those of the biking community, to join us in remembering and celebrating our loved ones.
This is not a charity event or fund-raiser, it is purely a gathering of people to remember family and friends. It is open to those of all religions and none. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Gone But Not Forgotten biker memorial will take place at in Aughdrumsee Chapel, Roslea, Co. Fermanagh tomorrow, Friday 9th May at 8pm. Ta Failte Roimhe Gach/Everyone welcome.
